You Get Better Every Day
Little by little, you improve and you learn. Mistakes are part of the process.
In 2016, when I was first starting my coaching business — I remember calling a friend, desperate for help. She had lived many lives, and was a bit of a sage, so I thought she might be able to direct me somehow. In the early days, when you’re first starting your business, you are always looking for someone to give you answers. I felt frantic. “I want to be able to sell packages for more money,” I explained, “I’m not making enough and I’m barely making ends meet. If I sell a full resume edit for $250, it takes me so many hours, and I just feel like I’m losing money and my sanity.”
“What would it take for you to sell it for $500?” she asked. I stared off in space, looking at the ceiling fan, and then the answer hit me: “to double my price, I would have to totally change my website. Maybe more elevated images. I’d have to target people who could afford that. Like bankers and consultants, or people in tech.”
