I am SO glad you posted this! SO valuable, bookmarked! My #1 fear leaving corporate was not having medical coverage. When it happened after my layoff/cobra ended, I was overwhelmed by the process - take it slow, lots of deep breaths, and a clear head when you go at it:) And Fwiw, if ppl are curious - I was able to get coverage at no cost (I was shocked too), until I report more income. The coverage is surprisingly decent, and I was able to keep my PCP, and other doctors, visits & RX is affordable. Great post as usual!! xo
This is so timely! This has been my biggest concern especially this year because I sustained an injury in my spine and had to have surgery. So, I’m still going to doctor’s appointments and what not, so the idea of having a lapse in insurance is in no way an option for me. This really helped to take the fear out of getting private health insurance. Thank you so much for listening to that nudge from the universe to do this experiment and for sharing this message from the heart 💛
