I love this pep talk!:) Sometimes, it's hard to see progress when you're knee-deep in it and feel lost or like you have a million miles to go.
I appreciated "you want it more" - it reminds me of how I used to hyper-fixate on not ending up like my parents/perpetuating generational trauma. I was active in therapy and self-development work for over a decade, but fear was right below the surface driving me. It was as if I thought there was a mysterious destination I'd reach. And when I did, I'd KNOW that I conquered my history and would be safe and ok. A friend woke me up by saying, "You want it more. Therefore, you've already proven you aren't like them at all." I think she was correct. xo
